Last month, Symantec’s Vice President of Corporate Responsibility, Cecily Joseph, spoke at a San Francisco event - "Honoring Progress: The 2013 Gender Equality Practices.” The event, attended by over 100 Bay Area professionals, focused on programs to increase workplace diversity and support the empowerment of women in the corporate world.
The event was cosponsored by the San Francisco Department on the Status of Women and Calvert Investments in partnership with the Bay Area Council, the Institute for Women's Leadership, and Assemblymember Phil Ting.
If you missed last week’s blog on Symantec’s support of gender diversity, or are looking for more information on the topic, this is a great opportunity to see Cecily discuss some of Symantec’s key diversity initiatives – such as Symantec’s efforts to increase the percentage of women on its board to a minimum of 30 percent and Symantec’s Gender Equity Image Project.
